Role:
Senior Quality Engineer
Type:
Contract – Outside IR35
Location:
Leicester
Rate: £45 to £55 per hour. DOE
Duration: 3 Months +
Thomas Rose Consultants are currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer on an initial 3 Month Contract which is Outside of IR35 regs.
The Senior Quality Engineer will join an established engineering business which manufactures world leading precision engineering equipment and will be responsible for ensuring robust customer processes and standards are achieved in line with ISO
9001 QMS.
Quality Engineer - Responsibilities:
* Gather, capture and monitor quality metrics and drive improvement activities with particular focus on customer success metrics - Installation, Right First Time, Warranty and Customer Complaints.
* Plan and execute Kaizen improvement events to target product and process improvements. Pareto results, identify and determine root causes and deliver consistent quality improvements.
* Agree and assist facilitation of key Quality Metrics defined during the NPI process to ensure that products and services meet customer needs and expectation during the product lifecycle.
* Devise and deliver the internal audit program for ISO
9001, ISO
14001 and ISO
17025 Management Systems with key focus on compliance and improvement of the QMS.
* Work with our external certification partner to deliver the external audit process for the ISO
9001 QMS to achieve and maintain certification.
* Generate product failure reports to provide root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action feedback to meet customer expectation.
Quality Engineer
- Skills & Experience required:
* Degree/HND level education in and Engineering discipline.
* Proven experience working within an ISO
9001 quality management system with an in-depth working knowledge of ISO
9001.
* Demonstrable track record of continuous improvement.
* Working knowledge of quality, improvement and root cause analysis tools.
E.g. PDCA, FMEA, Ishikawa Diagrams, Pareto analysis.
* Internal ISO
9001 audit experience. Lead auditor experience an advantage.
* Working knowledge of ISO
14001 and ISO
17025, with internal audit experience an advantage.

9001 QMS within a manufacturing environment, who is driven by customer success and satisfaction, with lead auditor experience being a strong advantage.
