Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support high‑quality public health and clinical research activities across NIHR Applied Research Collaboration East Midlands, the NIHR Global Health Research Centre and the Centre for Ethnic Health Research.
- Contribute to academic outputs such as conference presentations, manuscripts and literature reviews.
- Support the development of research funding applications and academic writing.
- Manage a varied workload with a high degree of autonomy, working closely with academics, research managers, external partners and patient and public involvement groups.
- Help promote a positive and inclusive research culture, ensuring compliance with University and funder policies.
- Contribute to the wider academic life of the University.
- Holder of a PhD with strong experience of working on health‑related research projects.
- Sound understanding of public health and clinical research, and a track record of journal publications and conference presentations.
- Experience in conducting literature reviews and providing administrative and coordination support within research teams.
- Experience contributing to funding applications and, ideally, leading academic writing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
- Confidence to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
- Comfortable using a range of IT and collaborative tools and building effective working relationships with colleagues and partners at all levels.
