Chef de Partie – Avery Healthcare

This role supports the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that delivers a nutritious, high‑quality service for residents in a caring elderly care home.

Base pay range

Responsibilities

• Assist in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions and address special dietary needs.
• Prepare nutritional food and beverages to high standards as directed.
• Support cost‑effective control to minimise waste.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu regularly.

Qualifications

• Catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, NVQ or equivalent.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Minimum one year of catering experience.
• Demonstrated compassion and commitment to high‑quality resident services.
• Adaptable and flexible to cover responsibilities on short notice.

• DBS Disclosure check – cost covered by Avery Healthcare.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
