We make health happenRichmond Village Willaston is looking to appoint a Chef to join their team. The role of Chef in this luxury retirement village is a blend of culinary skill and lifestyle balance. With a roster planned and sociable shifts, you will enjoy a work‑life balance while showcasing your talents.
Role OverviewSupporting the Head Chef’s vision and responsibilities. This role also serves as a stepping stone for aspiring chefs aiming to progress.
Responsibilities- Prepare modified diets including puréed, soft, and texture‑adapted meals for residents with specific health needs.
- Ensure food hygiene regulations and safety standards are followed.
- Participate in the preparation and serving of meals on the hotplate, as required.
- Ensure all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention to perishable (high‑risk) goods.
- Support a welcoming and dignified dining experience for all residents.
- Understand and apply health and safety procedures.
- NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds qualification in Professional Cookery.
- CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or equivalent certification.
- Strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively to deliver excellent dining experiences.
- DBS check (cost £40 covered by Bupa).
