Retail Security Officer – M&S

Location: Fosse Park

Salary: £13.58 per hour

Hours: Guaranteed 40+ hours per week

Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues. This role requires people who stay calm under pressure, lead with professionalism, and take pride in delivering great service while protecting our stores, people and products.

• Operate in a fast‑paced retail environment, staying alert, responsive and ready to step in when needed.
• Provide customer service by greeting customers and delivering professional support.
• Help keep stores safe and secure through loss prevention, incident response, risk identification and supporting safe working practices.
• Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body‑worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
• Maintain professional composure under pressure, including responding to challenging situations and supporting emergency procedures.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations and create a positive environment.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations, demonstrating flexibility.

• Previous security experience preferred.
• A valid SIA licence desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, confident and professional approach.
• Proactive mindset with ability to make sound decisions quickly.
• A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe.
• All candidates must provide a 5‑year checkable work history within the UK.
