Business Development Manager / Account Manager – IT / MSP Sales
Location:
Leicester (4 days onsite, 1 day WFH)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + Uncapped Commission
Our client, an established and growing Managed Service Provider, is looking for a hungry and ambitious Business Development Manager / Account Manager to drive new business and build long‑term client relationships. With a strong track record supporting SMEs across IT support, cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure projects, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where your contribution is visible, valued, and well rewarded.
This is a new business‑focused role offering autonomy to build your own pipeline and customer base, alongside managing a small number of existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Win managed service contracts and secure project‑based IT work.
- Drive hardware and software sales.
- Proactively generate new business through cold outreach, referrals, and networking.
- Build and manage your own sales pipeline from scratch.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand client requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design tailored solutions.
- Prepare proposals and manage opportunities through to close.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasting.
- Build long‑term client relationships and identify upsell opportunities.
- Minimum 12+ months IT sales experience (MSP, reseller, VAR, or telecoms).
- Proven track record in new business generation.
- Comfortable with cold calling and outbound sales activity.
- Strong communication and commercial awareness.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
