We’re working with a well-established manufacturer who are looking for an experienced Internal Sales professional to join their growing team. If you enjoy speaking with customers, building strong relationships and working with technical products, this could be a great opportunity for you.

The role:

As an Internal Sales professional, you’ll be responsible for handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations and supporting the wider sales team. Working with tooling and component parts, you’ll need to understand customer requirements and be confident discussing technical products and specifications.

You’ll build and maintain relationships with existing customers, follow up quotations and sales opportunities, and work closely with the external sales team to help develop new business.

The role will also involve completing tender documentation, keeping the CRM up to date and liaising with customers and suppliers to make sure enquiries are progressed efficiently. There may also be occasional customer visits, making this a varied role with a good mix of technical sales, account management and customer support.

Key responsibilities of the Internal Sales role:

Handling incoming customer enquiries and understanding customer requirements
Preparing accurate quotations for tooling and component parts
Providing customers with product and technical information
Following up quotations and potential sales opportunities
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
Supporting the external sales team with day-to-day sales activity
Identifying opportunities for new and additional business
Completing tender documentation and sales paperwork
Keeping customer and sales information up to date on the CRM system
Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure enquiries are progressed
Attending occasional customer visits when required

The ideal Internal Sales candidate will have:

Previous experience in B2B Internal Sales, Technical Sales or Account Management
Experience working with technical products, tooling, components, engineering or manufacturing products
A good understanding of customer requirements and technical specifications
Confident communication skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships
Experience preparing quotations and sales documentation
Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
A proactive approach to following up enquiries and opportunities
The ability to manage several tasks and priorities at the same time
Good IT skills and experience using a CRM system
