Electrical Engineer – Retail Environment

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a facilities management provider for an Electrical Engineer to be based on a retail site, working as part of an on-site engineering team.

This role will suit a qualified tradesperson with a strong electrical bias and experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance within a commercial or retail environment.

Role Overview :
You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across electrical systems, M&E plant, and general building fabric, ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance as directed by the Contract Manager

* Fault finding, testing, repair, and maintenance of electrical services and equipment

* Supporting wider site team with non-specialist building fabric tasks

* Updating and closing PPMs on the site CAFM system

* Ensuring engineering, QA, and Health & Safety standards are maintained

* Completing site documentation and maintaining accurate records

* Responding to call-outs and attending site emergencies when required

* Working at height and within plant room environments (PPE and access provided)

* Maintaining company tools and equipment in a safe condition

Requirements:

* Electrically biased trade background

* Experience with in retail, commercial, or FM environments

* Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures

* Proactive attitude and strong team-working skills

* Willingness to support the contract and wider site team
