Apprenticeship Overview
Yunex Traffic offers a Level 3 apprenticeship that combines on‑the‑job learning with formal training over a four‑year period. Apprentices will earn a salary of £16,000 while gaining technical and occupational qualifications and becoming part of a pioneering company that leads the UK traffic signal market.

Responsibilities- Install, replace, and set up traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment and other highways systems, unsupervised or as part of a team.
- Diagnose faults and conduct reactive and proactive maintenance tasks following the Traffic Signal Maintenance (TSM) contract.
- Produce detailed clearance notes via the Fault Management System (FMS) and other digital platforms.
- Work collaboratively with customers and other contractors on site.
- Adopt new business policies and processes positively and support a Health & Safety culture in accordance with company policies.

- Enjoy collaborating to find innovative solutions.

- Possess good organisational and time‑management skills to complete academic qualifications and occupational skill development within the apprenticeship.
- Take ownership of challenges and ideas.
- Be forward‑thinking and inquisitive.
- Willing to learn to drive if you do not already, with an ideal to be passed by completion of Year 1 of the apprenticeship (dependent on age).
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Effective listening and teamwork to create a collaborative work environment.
- IT literate; able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Continue learning beyond college/school while earning a salary.

- 4 GCSEs at 4 (C) or above, including Maths and English (or Functional Skills/Apprenticeship equivalent).

Recruitment ProcessApplications close on 16 February 2026. Interviews are held in‑person, with some roles including virtual interviews or assessment centres. Apprentices will begin on Tuesday 1 September 2026, so availability from this date is required.
