Rehabilitation Specialist – Leicester Hospital

Work Location:

Leicester Hospital – Part Time (18 hours per week). Salary:
Up to £27,985.32 per annum pro rata, depending on experience.

• Organise and run a series of rolling 12‑week rehabilitation programmes.
• Facilitate and deliver both live‑stream and in‑person group exercise classes for participants with varying levels of ability and physical function.
• Promote self‑directed activity using pre‑recorded on‑demand classes and a participant journal to aid independent management after the 12‑week programme.
• Re‑calibrate exercises and intensities based on regular assessments of participant progress.
• Identify deterioration in participants and, if necessary, follow internal escalation processes with accurate reporting within a specified timeframe.
• Engage in weekly 1‑to‑1 telephone conversations with each participant to coach on goal setting, monitor progress, and provide emotional wellbeing support.

• Level3 Personal Trainer qualification (essential).
• Good English and numerical skills.
• Experience working in a rehabilitation or similar role (preferred).
• Understanding of rehabilitation principles; a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation is desired but not essential.
• Strong problem‑solving, diagnostic, organisational and decision‑making skills.
• Effective communication, time and resource management abilities.
• Proficiency with IT tools required for remote facilitation.
