Location: Leicester
Contract: Casual, Part-time
Salary: £13.45 per hour (full earning potential; starting salaries depend on experience and progression)
Waythrough was formed in 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Together, we are one of the largest mental health and social support charities in England, supporting around 125,000 people each year through nearly 200 services.

As a Casual Recovery Worker at Waythrough’s Box Tree Farm Crisis House, you will support adults experiencing a mental health crisis within a recovery‑focused environment. Your responsibilities include:
- Providing compassionate, person‑centred support to individuals in crisis.
- Building trusting relationships that encourage recovery and independence.
- Supporting people with daily living skills, budgeting and tenancy sustainment.
- Encouraging access to education, employment, leisure and community opportunities.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver high‑quality support.
- Maintaining accurate records and following safeguarding and organisational procedures.
- Contributing to a safe, welcoming, and recovery‑focused environment.

- A caring, compassionate and non‑judgemental approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
- Good organisational and problem‑solving skills.
- A willingness to work flexibly as part of a 24/7 rota.
- Understanding of mental health or lived experience is welcomed but not essential.
- No previous experience is required, as comprehensive training and ongoing development will be provided.
