Full Time / 37 Hours per Week / Fixed Term for 18 months

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) Officer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to create, review and publish high-quality, impartial, and accessible information, advice and guidance to inform people on a breadth of key Adult Social Care areas.

You’ll be a part of the Community Wellbeing Support Team Service whom have a pivotal role in promoting independence in people’s homes and communities and ensuring that support is person‑centred and of good quality.

This is a full time, fixed term role working Monday to Friday (for 18 months). You’ll have flexibility in hybrid working being both office based, at Halford House or working remotely from home to suit the needs of the service. However, there is an expectation that you’ll work from the office at least two days per week.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll deliver a person-focused information, advice and guidance that supports people to make informed decisions about their social care needs.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll:
Work in collaboration with partners

You’ll play a key role in building and maintaining strong partnerships across Adult Social Care and with a wide range of external organisations, including Leicestershire Partnership Trust, local authorities, care providers and voluntary sector partners. Working collaboratively with co‑production and engagement groups, you’ll ensure information, advice and guidance (IAG) is accessible, relevant and shaped by the people who use it. You’ll also support colleagues across services to confidently signpost residents to the right information and support at the right time.

Develop

and manage IAG content

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape how people access information and support. You’ll lead the co‑production, creation and refresh of high‑quality IAG content for both digital and non‑digital channels, ensuring it is clear, engaging and user‑focused. By carrying out independent research and benchmarking activity, you’ll identify best practice and innovative approaches that enhance the Council’s offer. A key part of the role will be leading the ongoing development of the Autism Space website, helping to create a trusted and accessible source of information for residents.

You’ll be passionate about improving outcomes and increasing awareness of available support. Through promoting the Council’s IAG offer, you’ll help drive engagement and ensure more people can benefit from the services available to them. You’ll actively gather feedback, share best practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service. Keeping up to date with local services, opportunities and community resources, you’ll ensure information remains accurate, relevant and responsive to changing needs.
