Overview

Casual Hours/ Bank / Children's Residential Homes – playing a vital role in improving the lives of young people in Leicester. You will work in one of our residential homes, offering care, guidance and support to children and young people who are in the care of the Local Authority. Your day will vary from helping to cook tea, supporting with homework, playing games, attending meetings, finishing reports, addressing challenging behaviour, and helping a young person stay in touch with family and friends.

We are a growing service, expanding from 7 to 8 homes over the next year, and we are looking for staff to support both existing homes and upcoming projects. You will use life skills to help young people overcome difficulties, strengthen their future, form bonds, and maintain their independence. Working jointly with other individuals, agencies and community resources, you will provide a holistic approach to young people and their families.

Working

Hours

Work on a casual basis. Shifts will be scheduled in advance and may start early at 7:00 or 8:00 am finishing at 3:00 pm, or late from 2:00 pm until 10:00 or 11:00 pm. Flexible availability, including weekends and bank holidays, is required.
