We are committed to Child First approaches and are strong in our advocacy for children. We are a multi-agency team consisting of staff from the local authority, probation, police and health, based across Leicestershire. The Youth & Justice Service is a dedicated service for children aged 11+ who need support.

We offer a wide range of non-statutory and statutory interventions to children who are experiencing difficulties and challenges where support cannot be provided by universal services alone. We have strong relationships with wider services & partnerships supporting children and their families to ensure that we can jointly deliver the best possible support and care.

About the Role

We have developed a new project that contributes to the serious violence agenda through early intervention to children.

We have an exciting street-based youth work role to join an existing small team that work six hours per week making a positive difference for children and communities that are affected by youth related anti-social behaviour.

You will be based from County Hall and working in communities across Leicestershire for 6 hours per week over 2 sessions between Wednesday & Friday. These roles will be working 6pm onwards with occasional weekend working when required providing support for children in community spaces.

These roles will be at the heart of keeping children safe and responding to wider community initiatives.
