Salary: £33,129- £35,493 per annum (Pro rata for part time)

Working Hours:30 hours per week

Contract Type: Fixed term end March 2029

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a 0 to 5 Family Support Worker to join our team working across Blaby, Oadby & Wigston, for the next 12 months.

You will have a passion for supporting early years children and their families. You will deliver our Bumps Babies & Beyond groups, along with our Best Start Play & Learn sessions and carry out support work within the home.

An enhanced with barred list DBS check is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Level3qualificationinarelevantsubject,e.g. social care, health or childcare, OR substantial experience in providing direct support to families that clearly demonstrates the experience, skills, competencies, and knowledge outlined below and Role specific - Children's Play-worker (5- 11s) - Level 1 or Level 2 Theraplay training, or willingness to undertake such training.
  • Experience of working with families experiencingdifficultiesinparentingor behaviour management and theabilitytorecognise

    Child

    Protection issues and Safeguarding practice
  • Experienceofworkinginamulti-agency environment
  • Experience of identifying and delivering appropriate evidence-based interventions & groups
  • Knowledge and awareness of issues which may have an impact on the lives of families such as domestic abuse, mental health difficulties, substance misuse, poverty, housing
  • Knowledge of child development and Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Abilitytoengagechildren,parentsandwider family and support networks
