An exciting opportunity to join our award-winning team.
We are looking to recruit a passionate and motivated Project Worker to join our Women's Work Heart (WWH) Project, supporting women across Derby City.
This is a rewarding and varied role, providing practical and emotional support to women facing complex challenges, including domestic abuse, substance misuse, housing difficulties and other social issues. Working closely with local agencies and support services, you will help women overcome barriers, build confidence and make positive changes to their lives.
The successful applicant will be compassionate, proactive and highly organised, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage their own caseload. You will deliver one-to-one support, carry out assessments and care planning, facilitate workshops and advocate for women and their families when accessing essential services.
Experience in a similar role is essential, alongside an understanding of partnership working, safeguarding and the challenges faced by vulnerable women. You will be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible, non-judgemental approach that reflects the values of Women’s Work.
About You
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, professional and committed to empowering women to reach their full potential.
You will have experience supporting individuals with complex needs, strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with partner organisations.
A good understanding of the voluntary sector, drug and alcohol harm reduction and health promotion is essential. Experience of multi-agency working and a qualification in Health and Social Care or Social Work would be advantageous.
A full driving licence and access to a car are essential.
We are committed to developing a diverse workforce, and applications are strongly encouraged from ethnic minorities. This position within Women’s Work (Derbyshire) Ltd is open to WOMEN ONLY and is subject to an occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
