Your Role And Responsibilities

We’re seeking a Java Developer to significantly contribute to our engineering efforts. In this role you will lead smaller projects, guide junior engineers and shape our technical direction.

Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership:
    Lead smaller projects from design through deployment, showcasing strong technical and project‑management skills.
  • Mentorship:
    Guide and support Junior Engineers to foster their growth.
  • Technical Leadership:
    Contribute to defining our engineering practices and the technical vision of our software systems.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Ensure all code meets high standards for quality, maintainability and performance.
  • Complex Problem Solving:
    Tackle and resolve intricate technical challenges, applying deep expertise in Java and web technologies.
  • Continuous learning:
    Commit to high‑quality software solutions and remain ready to take on more responsibilities.
Preferred Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
  • Develop and support Java/JEE applications using Java, Java‑based frameworks and other languages such as Ruby, Python, Groovy.
  • Experience building enterprise applications with Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSF and similar frameworks.
  • Experience implementing transaction management, handling Java objects and enterprise integration involving messaging routers, transformations, adapters, service activators, auditing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of dependency injection / inversion of control.
  • Leadership:
    Demonstrated strong leadership qualities, guiding teams and delivering projects.
  • Problem‑solving:
    Exceptional problem‑solving skills, with a history of addressing complex engineering issues.
  • Agile & Cloud:
    Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Communication:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with test‑driven development (TDD) and behaviour‑driven development (BDD).
  • Understanding of security principles in software development.

  • Oracle Certified Professional:
    Java SE 11 Developer (OCP)
  • Oracle Certified Professional:
    Java SE 17 Developer (OCP)
  • Oracle Certified Foundations Associate, Java
  • Oracle Certified Professional:
    Java EE / Jakarta EE Developer
  • Spring Professional Certification (VMware)
  • Pivotal Certified Spring Web Application Developer
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
