You will implement high-quality operating models of practice for the service's Sport on Parks programmes, maximising both usage and income. You will develop and maintain strong working partnerships with key stakeholders, including local sports clubs and associations, local leagues, and colleagues across the service — particularly within the Parks team and alongside the Sport on Parks Facility Officer. Working closely with the Outdoor Recreation Manager, you will provide advice and guidance to Parks and Centre teams, building their confidence to deliver stimulating, fun, safe, and well-balanced community programmes that align with National Governing Body models of work.
Whatyou'll need
You will be a highly organized individual with experience in programming and developing sports activities, and the ability to accurately oversee, monitor, record, and report on financial performance. As the Council continues to increase the use of external organisations to deliver sport and physical activity outcomes, you will have an understanding of licence and leasehold arrangements with clubs and organisations, enabling you to manage legal agreements effectively.
With strong IT skills, you will be confident using software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft and internet-based applications to write reports, prepare invoices, and complete administrative tasks. Committed to staying up to date with industry standards, you will be energetic, versatile, and innovative, with the ability to respond to the evolving needs of sport and physical activity development.
we can offer you
As well as the satisfaction of helping to improve thousands of lives across Leicester, you can look forward to a work environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance. You'll enjoy generous annual leave, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and the option of flexible working. We'll also give you the chance to develop your skills and expertise with a variety of training and development opportunities.
In addition, you can choose from several flexible benefits, including discounts on city buses and trains.
