HGV Class 2 Driver

Overview

We are recruiting a Class 2 HGV driver based in the Watford area on a permanent, full‑time basis.

• Load vehicles at the depot while following all H&S guidelines and operational procedures.
• Safely deliver products and complete daily vehicle walk‑around safety checks to the highest standard.
• Ensure all paperwork relating to loading and unloading is filled in correctly.
• Adhere to all written procedures, guidelines, WTD and drivers’ hours regulations.

• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good knowledge of the delivery area (approx 1‑hour radius of Watford).
• Friendly and polite manner.
• Availability to work alternate Saturday mornings during the winter months (overtime rate £25.49 p/h).

• Class 2 / Cat C HGV licence.
• Valid DCPC card.
• Valid Digital Tacho card.
• Multi drop experience.
• Minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience.

A basic salary of £37,876 for a 40‑hour week (£18.21 p/h) with ample overtime potential. Saturday mornings, particularly in winter months, are paid at £25.49 p/h.
