We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Logistics Supervisor at our Leicester site to deliver service excellence through the efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective management of logistics operations.
Your Mission at ElisKey Responsibilities
- Supervise daily logistics operations including driver coordination, routing, and delivery performance
- Ensure full compliance with operator licence requirements, EU regulations, and site standards
- Monitor and analyse logistics data (e.g. TMS, telematics) to drive continuous improvement
- Optimise delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Ensure fleet maintenance schedules and documentation meet regulatory standards
- Lead, coach, and develop team members including drivers and service staff
- Manage performance through reviews, KPIs, and disciplinary processes where required
- Maintain stock levels for operational continuity (e.g. driver equipment and supplies)
- Support budget management and investigate cost variances
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements - Drive operational excellence initiatives (e.g. Lean, 5S methodologies)
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, flexible, and solutions‑focused approach
- IT literate, including Microsoft Office
- Previous supervisory experience (2–3 years preferred)
- Experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain environments
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience managing KPIs, performance, and continuous improvement programmes
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Understanding of Health & Safety regulations
- Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) – desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence (HGV Class 2 preferred)
- Maximum of 6 points on driving licence (preferred)
