Cleansing Operative Driver

A cleansing operative driver post in Leicester City Council's Cleansing Services team, which keeps streets clean across the city. Duties cover litter, dog fouling, illegal dumping and graffiti in a set area, plus bin emptying and winter snow clearance. The outdoor, walking-heavy work runs on shifts from 5.15am to 8.30pm, with a possible late shift for pre-1997 licence holders. A full driving licence is required.

• Remove litter, leaves, detritus and illegal dumping in a designated area
• Clear dog fouling and graffiti
• Street wash and empty litter bins
• Support snow clearance during winter months
• Report hazardous waste such as needles and asbestos to the Team Leader
• Maintain health and safety while working on the streets

• Full driving licence
