Salary: £27,898 per annum
Hours:
37 hours per week
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am–12:30pm
- Permanent
DC Personnel are recruiting for a Warehouse & Dispatch Operative on behalf of our client, a well-established precision manufacturing business based in LE4, Leicester. This is a hands‑on role split between warehouse operations and despatch, working within a small, close‑knit team. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring accurate stock control and the safe, high‑quality packing and despatch of products, while supporting continuous improvement across the department.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out general warehouse duties, ensuring accuracy and timely service
- Pack products to defined standards, ensuring protection and quality during transit
- Manage despatch activities with a high attention to detail
- Support inventory management and stock control processes
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external contacts
- Identify opportunities for improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote a “do it once, do it right” culture
- Support 6S and lean working practices
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or despatch environment
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check as part of the pre‑employment screening process
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, changing environment
- Experience working as part of a team
- Knowledge of Health & Safety best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A reliable and motivated individual with a strong work ethic
- Someone who takes pride in delivering high standards of work
- A flexible and adaptable team player
- An enthusiastic, can‑do attitude
- Honest, trustworthy, and quality‑focused
- A proactive approach to identifying and supporting improvements
- Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
- ERP system experience
- Experience with band saws, chop saws, cranes or lifting equipment
- Leadership or supervisory qualifications
