Warehouse Operative; Zero​/Casual

About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, Warehouse Operatives play an important role within the team by ensuring orders are picked and packed and ready for delivery. They champion customer service delivery through efficient coordination of warehouse stock and understand the importance of delivery time frames.

As a Warehouse Operative on a zero hour/casual contract, you will support the branch in covering holidays or absences.

• Checking and putting away supplier delivered parts
• Picking and loading vans accurately and in a timely manner
• Checking customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge
• Checking stock quantities are correct against computer while also ensuring stock is stored in the allocated bin locations

Up to 41 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working, depending on the cover needed in the branch.

What you'll need to succeed:

• A great track record working in a fast paced warehouse, or similar environment
• Ability to work well under pressure
• A good team player
• Work efficiently with good attention to detail
• Understand the necessity of customer service & working to deadlines
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry would be desirable
