FLT Counterbalance and FLT Reach Drivers

FLT COUNTERBALANCE & REACH DRIVERS – LEICESTER, LE3

Quest Employment is currently recruiting FLT Counterbalance and FLT Reach Drivers on behalf of our client, a well-established distribution operation based in Leicester (LE3).

Due to an urgent requirement for additional staff, we are looking for reliable and experienced FLT Drivers to join the team.

These are general warehouse FLT roles involving the safe movement, loading and unloading of stock throughout the warehouse. You will also support the wider warehouse operation when required.

AM SHIFT: 6:00am – 3:00pm - £13.60 to £14.73 per hour

NIGHT SHIFT: 10:00pm – 6:00am - £15.85 per hour

Working days:
Monday to Friday at this stage.

Overtime:
Overtime may be available during peak periods, depending on business requirements.

• Safely operating Counterbalance and/or Reach FLTs within the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Moving pallets and stock safely around the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading goods from designated storage areas.
• Placing stock into racking and retrieving stock when required.
• Moving stock between goods-in, storage, picking and dispatch areas.
• Supporting the goods-in and goods-out operation.
• Checking pallets and stock before moving or storing them.
• Ensuring products are handled safely to prevent damage.
• Preparing and positioning stock ready for picking or dispatch.
• Carrying out daily FLT safety checks before use.
• Reporting any FLT defects, damage or safety concerns to the relevant supervisor.
• Following all site health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Keeping the warehouse and working areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties when required.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily warehouse targets and deadlines.

We are looking for experienced FLT Drivers who are confident operating either Counterbalance, Reach or both types of FLT equipment.

• Reliable and punctual.
• Experienced in operating Counterbalance and/or Reach FLTs.
• Confident working in a busy warehouse environment.
• Safety-conscious with a good understanding of safe FLT operation.
• Able to follow instructions and site procedures.
• Comfortable working as part of a team.
• Able to work accurately and efficiently.
• Flexible and willing to assist with other warehouse duties when required.

A valid FLT licence/certificate for the relevant equipment is required.

Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment would be an advantage.
