· New office fit-out & relocation project
· Max. €80 per hour ·
Introduction
For a large international organisation operating in the aerospace industry, we are looking for a Facility Management Coordinator to help make a new office in Leiden fully operational. In this temporary freelance assignment, you will coordinate the facility-related activities from the final office fit-out through to the actual relocation. You will work in an advanced technical environment on a tangible project where you can see the results of your work within a matter of months.
This is an excellent assignment for an independent professional who enjoys creating structure and bringing multiple internal and external stakeholders together.
Your responsibilities
You will be the central point of coordination, ensuring that the new office is fully equipped and that the relocation runs smoothly.
Coordinate the further fit-out of the new office, including workstations, furniture, meeting rooms, demonstration areas and other facilities.
Work closely with internal stakeholders such as IT, Security, Real Estate and Procurement on network connections, server facilities, cooling and building security.
Coordinate and manage suppliers, installers and other external partners involved in the project.
Monitor planning, costs, risks and potential issues, taking action when adjustments are required.
Develop and coordinate the relocation plan and oversee the move into the new office.
You will join a major international organisation within the aerospace industry, employing more than 20,000 people worldwide. The company develops advanced technical products and solutions used in space missions, including technology for satellites, launch vehicles, measurement instruments and optical communications. These technologies contribute to applications such as navigation, communications and climate research. For this assignment, you will work from the new location in Leiden and collaborate with several specialist departments.
The combination of an international high-tech environment and a highly tangible facility project makes this a particularly interesting assignment.
Your profile
You have at least 3 years of experience in a comparable facility, workplace or housing coordination role.
You have demonstrable experience with office fit-outs, workplace projects and/or office relocations.
You are comfortable coordinating multiple suppliers and internal stakeholders simultaneously.
You work independently and take a project-based approach, maintaining oversight of planning, costs, risks and actions.
You have sufficient technical understanding to communicate effectively with IT, Security and technical suppliers.
An MBO- or HBO-level qualification in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field is a plus.
Can't tick every box, but still see yourself in this role? We'd still love to receive your application!
Offer
A freelance assignment with a maximum hourly rate of €80.
An assignment for 16 to 24 hours per week.
A contract running until 24 December 2026.
Preferred start in September 2026, with an October start also open for discussion.
A visible and hands-on project within an international high-tech organisation, where you will play a key role in delivering and relocating to a completely new office.
