Position: Project Manager – Subsea Cable Assets (SCA)
Subsea Cable Assets (SCA) provides integrated cable handling solutions for the global offshore wind and subsea cable industries.

SCA designs, engineers, fabricates, mobilises and commissions cable handling equipment for both onshore and offshore applications. SCA provides a range of equipment including cable carousels, loading towers, tensioners and complete cable handling spreads. Services include cable transport, storage, transpooling and operational support.

By combining engineering, equipment, project management and offshore experience, SCA takes responsibility for the complete operation—from the initial concept development and FEED through fabrication, installation and commissioning to project execution.

SCA operates internationally from its offices in the Netherlands and Dubai, working with cable manufacturers, installation contractors, vessel operators and offshore energy companies worldwide.

The Role
SCA is looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage complex, international projects within the subsea cable and offshore energy industries.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects. From contract award through engineering, procurement and fabrication to mobilisation, commissioning and final handover.

You will act as the primary point of contact for the client and coordinate between the internal and external parties involved in the project. Working closely with SCA’s engineering, technical, operational and commercial teams, you will ensure that every project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with the agreed scope and quality requirements.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-moving international organisation. It requires technical understanding, commercial awareness and the ability to maintain control while priorities, schedules and project conditions change.

Your Responsibilities
As Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Managing projects throughout their full lifecycle, from contract award to final delivery and close-out.

Establishing and maintaining the project execution plan, schedule, budget, reporting structure and key milestones.

Ensuring the project is delivered in accordance with the contract, agreed scope, technical requirements and client expectations.

Acting as the main point of contact for the client throughout the project.

Coordinating SCA’s engineering, procurement, fabrication, mobilisation, installation and commissioning activities.

Managing subcontractors, suppliers and other third parties involved in the project.

Monitoring project progress, costs, resources, risks and opportunities and taking timely corrective action where required.

Managing scope changes, variations and additional work in cooperation with the commercial and finance teams.

Identifying and managing technical, operational and commercial interfaces.

Ensuring compliance with SCA’s safety, health, environmental and quality requirements.

Ensuring that accurate and complete project documentation is prepared, maintained and delivered.

Providing clear and regular progress reports to the client and SCA management.

Supporting continuous improvement by capturing and implementing lessons learned.

Your Profile
SCA is looking for someone who combines strong project management skills with technical understanding and a practical, solution-oriented approach.

You have:

A completed technical bachelor’s or master’s degree, or an equivalent level of working and thinking.

At least three years of experience in a comparable project management role within a technical, offshore, maritime or project-based environment.

Experience managing multidisciplinary projects involving engineering, procurement, fabrication and site or offshore activities.

A good understanding of project planning, cost control, contract management, risk management and change management.

Strong commercial awareness and the ability to recognise the contractual and financial impact of project decisions.

The ability to communicate effectively with clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
