Lab Technician – Molecular Biology

Rapidemic is looking for a highly rigorous laboratory technician with solid hands‑on molecular biology experience to support development and execution of enzymatic assay and diagnostic workflows. This is a temporary position (12–18 months), with the potential for extension depending on company needs. You will work independently at the bench and as part of a small multidisciplinary team. The work focuses on DNA amplification technologies and requires strong bench discipline, accurate documentation, and reliable execution.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute DNA amplification assays and other molecular biology workflows.
  • Handle enzymes and nucleic acid reagents with traceable quality documentation.
  • Independently plan, execute, and report experiments and QC runs.
  • Maintain lab equipment and calibrations (pipettes, qPCR instruments, etc.).
  • Keep accurate lab records (ELN) following SOPs and Good Documentation Practices.
Qualifications
  • HBO, BSc or equivalent in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology (MSc also welcome).
  • ~3–5 years hands‑on experience in a molecular biology lab (industry or advanced academic).
  • Familiarity with quality processes under ISO
    13485.
  • Proven track record of rigorous lab work and disciplined pipetting practices.
  • Familiarity with DNA amplification (qPCR sufficient) workflows and standard enzyme‑based assays.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively communicate results and issues.
