MIMETAS is looking for a part-time Technician (basic cell culture, laboratory logistics and inventory) to support daily laboratory operations at for its facilities in Leiden, the Netherlands.

With our innovative products and services that enable 3D tissue modeling, we aim to improve the medicine development process while reducing animal testing. Our clients are pharmaceutical companies and academic institutes who strive to discover new and better treatments for patients. Our team consists of scientists working on services and product development, as well as commercial people spreading the word.
Our people are enthusiastic, analytical, and international. Over eighty colleagues work in five locations in Leiden (the Netherlands headquarters) and Enschede (NL), UK, USA, and Japan.
- Managing the maintenance of the tissue culture laboratory equipment;
- Maintaining the stock levels of the tissue culture laboratories;
- Responsible for clean laboratories and equipment;
- Managing the logistics of the tissue culture laboratories;
- Actively working on safety in the laboratories.
- You have a degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences, Laboratory Technology or a related field (MLO/HLO);
- You are experienced in managing laboratory facilities;
- You enjoy communicating with both colleagues and suppliers;
- You can efficiently plan multiple tasks, set priorities, and manage time restraints;
- Experience with GLP and QC is an advantage;
- Experience with tissue culture is an advantage;
- Motivated, flexible and positive work attitude;
- Proficiency in the English language;
- Proficiency of the Dutch language is a plus.
