As a Data Architect, you will work within the Platform BI project team on the further development of the client's BI landscape. The focus is on the migration from SAP BW/BO to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. You will analyse information issues within education, research and business operations and translate them into future‑proof data architectures and data models. In addition, you will work with BI engineers, administrators and analysts on data designs and ensure the transfer of knowledge to the line organization.
Tasksand responsibilities
- Advising on the design of the new data platform within Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
- Analysing information issues within quality assurance, education, research and business operations
- Delving into the data needed to answer information issues
- Formulating improvement proposals for data models
- Developing analyses and proposals into new data designs
- Collaborate with BI engineers, administrators, and analysts
- Transfer of detailed proposals to the line organisation
- Identifying compliance issues around privacy and security
- Contributing to sustainable knowledge retention within the organization
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
- Organizational sensitivity
- Extensive experience with business analysis and data analysis
- Knowledge of best practices within Business Intelligence and data modelling
- Knowledge of administration systems within education, research and operations
- Familiarity with Agile working
- Thorough knowledge and experience with SAP BW
- Knowledge of and experience with SAP ABAP and AMDP
- Solid knowledge and experience with SAP BO front‑end tools
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI or similar solutions
- Ability to identify compliance issues in a timely manner
- Experience with in complex educational organizations
- Experience with migrations from SAP BW/BO to Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with enterprise data platforms
- Experience with governance around data and BI
- Experience with collaboration within multidisciplinary project teams
