Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems & Application Management & Support Specialist to ensure the stable operation and optimal performance of critical systems and applications within S.W.I.F.T. SCRL. This role involves proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of our technical infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities- Lead the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and support of complex enterprise systems and applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform in-depth incident management, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues, often under pressure.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide out-of-hours support for critical incidents.
- Implement and manage system configurations, patches, and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Collaborate with development teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to resolve complex technical problems and implement new solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, applications, and support procedures.
- Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventive measures to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Contribute to the design, testing, and deployment of new systems and application functionalities.
- Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge and best practices.
- Adhere to ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in system administration, application support, or a similar technical role in a complex enterprise environment.
- Proven expertise in operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Power Shell).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.
- Experience with application servers (e.g., JBoss, Web Logic, Tomcat) and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, Dynatrace) and incident management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
