As a Mechanical Workshop Technician, you will work in a highly technical workshop where precision and quality are essential. You will be responsible for manufacturing, modifying, and inspecting mechanical hardware, test setups, and Ground Support Equipment. Your work will range from complex one-off components to small and medium-sized production series.
This is a varied and hands‑on role where you will work with different machining techniques, materials, and production methods. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from work preparation and workshop coordination while actively contributing ideas for technical improvements and smarter production solutions.
Responsibilities- Performing CNC and conventional machining operations such as milling and turning
- Manufacturing and modifying mechanical parts based on technical drawings and specifications
- Operating and programming 3D printers for tooling and technical solutions
- Building mechanical assemblies using techniques such as bonding, welding, soldering, and torquing
- Inspecting and testing parts and finished products, including the use of a CMM machine
- Identifying improvement opportunities and contributing technical solutions
- Advising on manufacturability and production lead times
- Coordinating with work preparation and workshop planning teams
- Managing materials, tools, and workshop inventory
- Performing machine maintenance and maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment
In this role, you will work closely with the Assembly & Integration team and report directly to the Team Leader.
