Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be partnering with a friendly, modern and client-focused accountancy firm based near Leighton Buzzard, in their search for an experienced Client Accountant to join their close-knit team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a client-facing role within a small, people-focused practice where quality, trust and long-term relationships sit at the heart of what they do. You'll work closely with the firm's Founder and wider team, managing a varied client portfolio while contributing to the firm's ongoing growth.

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Producing and reviewing management accounts
• Preparing corporate and personal tax returns
• Supporting bookkeeping and VAT return processes
• Ensuring compliance with current legislation and accounting regulations
• Working closely with the Principal on client management and growth initiatives
• Training and mentoring junior members of the team
• Building and maintaining long‑lasting client relationships
• Supporting business development activity using a dedicated BD budget (post‑induction)

• ACA/ACCA qualified OR part‑qualified with 5+ years' experience within an accountancy practice
• Minimum 4 years' experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong Xero experience; knowledge of Digita essential, Quick Books and Sage beneficial
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Proactive, organised and commercially aware
• Holds a valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

• Full‑time role based near Leighton Buzzard
