We are actively recruiting for a job opportunity for an Accounts Technician with a long-standing accountancy firm in Leighton Buzzard. The salary is negotiable and will of course depend on experience and qualification level, so is open within reason.
They want someone who can take a job from start to finish, bookkeeping, accounts, tax returns etc – their current staff will largely budget a job, prepare it, liaise with clients and finalise for partner review.
The office is commutable from locations such as Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, Dunstable, Aylesbury, and Buckingham.
Accounts Technician:This will be a hands-on position where you will be responsible for working on a varied client portfolio across statutory accounts, management accounts, tax, bookkeeping, VAT and Making Tax Digital. You will have increasing responsibility and the opportunity to progress within your career and develop technically in this broad position. Key Roles and Responsibilities:- Preparation of Year-end Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
- Corporation Tax computations and Company Tax returns.
- Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax returns.
- Provide support to Client Managers.
- Preparation of P11
Ds. - Deal with portfolio of clients and relevant authorities, resolving any queries.
- Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns.
- Assist with Making Tax Digital.
- Strong experience with Quick Books/Xero or similar cloud software packages. Any experience of sage is useful.
