Job Description & How to Apply Below
Working Hours:
09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Location:
Leighton Buzzard. Contract Type:
Temp to perm. Duties:
Produce accurate, print-ready artwork using supplied client designs, adapting them to product templates and production requirements. Work confidently with Adobe Illustrator, including multi-sided and more complex product templates, ensuring artwork is positioned, sized and prepared accurately. Manage multiple artwork jobs through the studio workflow, using our web-based job management system to track progress, update job information and keep work moving efficiently.
Work closely with the sales team to manage priorities and ensure deadlines are met. Have an excellent eye for detail and accuracy, particularly when working with important product and customer information such as ingredients, allergens, nutritional information, best-before details, reference numbers and customer addresses. Be confident checking information carefully and spotting potential errors or inconsistencies before artwork progresses to production.
Work effectively within a busy, fast-paced studio and production environment, maintaining a consistent pace while balancing speed with the accuracy and care required for packaging artwork. Liaise directly with clients when required, particularly where artwork specifications, supplied files or technical details are easier to resolve directly. Maintain and update the company’s library of product artwork templates, ensuring current versions are accurate, organized and easy for the wider team to use.
Make routine artwork updates, including ingredient, nutritional, allergen, regulatory and product information changes on existing templates. Create realistic product visuals and mock-ups in Adobe Photoshop, including the use of Smart Objects, Free Transform, perspective/distortion tools, masking and other techniques to apply artwork convincingly to product photography. Check supplied artwork for accuracy, suitability and print readiness, identifying potential issues before work reaches production.
Prepare and supply artwork to our in-house print and production team, following established specifications and processes. Keep artwork files, templates and job folders well organized and consistently named, so work can be easily picked up and understood by other members of the team. Be comfortable working across several jobs simultaneously and prioritizing workload according to deadlines and production requirements. Have a working knowledge of Adobe InDesign;
extensive InDesign experience is not essential. An interest in or experience with AI-assisted imaging and creative tools would be beneficial, particularly for creating or enhancing product visuals. Develop knowledge of products, templates and production processes, with the opportunity to grow technically within the role. Skills/Requirements:
Core understanding and experience in using Adobe software/programmes. Core knowledge of Illustrator. Excellent eye for detail.
