GP Maternity Cover Opportunity – Salisbury House Surgery, Leighton Buzzard

Contract: Fixed-term Maternity Cover

Salisbury House Surgery is seeking an experienced and dedicated GP to join our friendly and supportive team on a maternity cover basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a patient-focused clinician to work within a well-established practice, providing high-quality primary care to our patient population. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering comprehensive medical care, managing chronic conditions, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care through effective consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients.
  • Deliver comprehensive primary care services in line with current clinical guidelines and best practice.
  • Manage patients with long-term and chronic health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals, and external healthcare providers.
  • Promote preventative healthcare and patient wellbeing.
  • Support the training, supervision, and development of healthcare staff and trainees where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise in the United Kingdom.
  • Strong experience in General Practice, Primary Care, Family Medicine, and clinical medicine.
  • Excellent consultation, communication, and patient-management skills.
  • Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Dedication to continuing professional development and maintaining clinical excellence.
