Finance Manager

We are seeking a motivated finance professional to support the Financial Controller within our fast‑paced aerospace environment. You will help deliver accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and provide essential financial support across the business. This role oversees core operational finance activities—including accounts payable, treasury, balance sheet reconciliations, vendor onboarding, and audit support—while acting as a trusted partner to teams across multiple functions.

• Oversee the outsourced Accounts Payable function and mentor the industrial placement student.
• Manage treasury duties, including daily bank reviews and mid‑month/month‑end reconciliations.
• Partner with business functions to resolve financial issues and support process improvements.
• Handle monthly and ad‑hoc salary and cost recharges.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, analysis, and commentary.
• Support month‑end close, including intercompany reconciliations.
• Lead vendor onboarding via SAP Ariba, ensuring full compliance checks.
• Maintain internal controls and support policy adherence.
• Assist with internal and external audits, including follow‑up on findings.
• Support responses to corporate queries, including those from aerospace parent groups.
• Assist with statutory tax submissions and related returns.
• Contribute financial content to executive‑level reporting.

• ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Experience in a fast‑moving business environment (aerospace exposure advantageous)
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Proficient in accounting systems (SAP preferred) and Excel
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
