Project Manager, Operations Management, Program ​/ Project Manager

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defence industry. We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join the team in Leighton Buzzard, leading new galley projects for the Airbus A350 XWB.

• Work very closely with the senior program manager and manage projects in their entirety.
• Collaborate with numerous stakeholders and customers.
• Operate within an IPT environment (Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial) to ensure projects are resourced appropriately.
• Create and execute project plans, revising as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
• Manage day‑to‑day aspects of projects and keep them on schedule.
• Proactively manage and track changes in project scope.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project documentation.
• Work with and manage a core PM team.

• Degree level education in a STEM discipline.
• Strong project management skills and experience, ideally in complex matrix environments.
• Minimum of two years’ proven experience in Project Management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, Project, and JDE/SAP.
• Commercial awareness with a focus on delivering objectives.
• Good planning skills using Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management and Product Lifecycle – PDR, CDR, FAI.
• Ability to act as a change agent to drive continuous improvements in challenging environments.
• Extended customer exposure experience.
