This is an opportunity for an ambitious and experienced care professional to lead a high-quality service. The home provides spacious en-suite accommodation alongside a range of modern facilities designed around residents' wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong operational leadership, ensuring consistently high standards of care and developing a positive culture where residents, relatives and staff feel valued.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strong, visible and compassionate leadership across the care home.
* Take overall responsibility for the operational management of the service.
* Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing.
* Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations, legislation and statutory requirements.
* Lead the service through regulatory inspections and ensure appropriate action plans are implemented and monitored.
* Develop and maintain a positive safeguarding culture.
* Ensure robust care planning, risk assessment and review processes are maintained.
* Monitor the quality of care and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Lead, motivate and develop the management and care teams.
* Ensure appropriate staffing levels, recruitment, induction, training and competency assessments are maintained.
* Manage performance effectively, addressing issues promptly and fairly.
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
* Maintain effective communication throughout the home.
* Monitor budgets, expenditure and operational performance.
* Ensure effective management of incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and accidents.
* Promote a strong culture of learning, accountability and continuous improvement.
* Work collaboratively with senior management to support the wider strategic objectives of the organisation.
* Ensure the home consistently provides an environment where residents can live fulfilling lives safely and with dignity.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Care Home Manager who can demonstrate a strong track record of successfully managing a residential or nursing care service.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Care Home Manager.
* Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
* Experience managing a medium to large care home.
* Proven experience managing residential care services.
* Experience of working with dementia care and older people.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and care planning.
* Experience managing inspections, audits and regulatory action plans
