Operator Machining – Collins Aerospace

Job Description: Join our high‑tech machine shop to operate CNC machinery and produce low batch, high mix production runs of aircraft interior component parts.

• Operate CNC machinery to produce parts in accordance with a daily production plan.
• Perform self‑inspection of repeat work using appropriate inspection equipment.
• Execute regular Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on the machinery.
• Communicate production issues and defects to the Team Lead and production engineering team.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase production.
• Monitor and document operational performance and provide feedback to the Team Lead.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and support teams.
• Maintain quality standards through understanding of the quality management system.
• Adhere to company EH&S and compliance guidelines and housekeeping, 5S and FOD rules.

• Previous machining background preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with lean manufacturing techniques.
• Experience in completing projects for process improvement.

• Metallurgy knowledge – solid understanding of materials and their properties.
• CNC operating experience.
• Lean manufacturing familiarity.
• Microsoft Office proficiency for documentation and reporting.
• Process improvement experience.

  Mon‑Thurs 07:00–16:00, Fri 07:00–12:00.
