We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on Production Supervisor to join our team in Leighton Buzzard.
You will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day running of the production floor, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Working closely with the Production Manager and wider management team, you will lead and support the production team, helping to maintain high standards of performance, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support the production team on a day-to-day basis
- Allocate workloads and ensure production schedules and targets are met
- Monitor production output, quality, and efficiency
- Ensure staff are working safely and following company procedures
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members
- Monitor attendance, timekeeping, performance, and productivity
- Identify and resolve day-to-day production issues quickly
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation across the production area
- Carry out quality checks and ensure products meet required standards
- Work with the Production Manager to improve processes and reduce waste
- Ensure materials and equipment are available to keep production running smoothly
- Liaise with warehouse, logistics, and other departments to support production and deliveries
- Report any operational, quality, staffing, or health & safety issues to management
- Promote a positive, accountable, and team-focused working environment
- Previous experience supervising or leading a production/manufacturing team
- Experience working in a fast‑paced production environment
- Good understanding of production processes and workflows
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Confident managing and motivating a team
- Good problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, hands‑on approach to getting the job done
- Comfortable using IT systems, including Microsoft Office
