Sales & Business Support Administrator

We are recruiting for a Sales & Business Support Administrator to join a nationwide company, who have their UK Head Office and distribution centre based in Leighton Buzzard. This a new role, built to support their thriving sales team.

To drive sales growth through proactive outbound calling, business development and the reactivation and development of existing and lapsed customer accounts. The role will have a strong focus on telephone-based sales and account management, with regular contact with existing, lapsed and prospective customers. The successful candidate will be confident and professional when making outbound calls, able to build rapport quickly, ask effective fact-finding questions and identify customer needs, requirements and commercial opportunities.

A key responsibility will be to re-engage lapsed and inactive customers. Duties:
Make proactive outbound calls to existing, lapsed and prospective customers to generate sales and identify new opportunities. Maintain a consistent and commercially focused level of daily call activity. Maximise every customer interaction by identifying additional sales, repeat business and cross-selling opportunities. Confidently initiate conversations with customers and develop those conversations into genuine sales opportunities. Follow up all enquiries, quotations and opportunities promptly and professionally.

Use effective fact-finding questions to understand changes in customer requirements, buying patterns, budgets, suppliers and future needs. Identify opportunities to win back lost business and develop customers into regular, long-term accounts. Build strong relationships with customers through regular telephone contact and proactive account management. Ensure all customer calls, conversations, opportunities and follow-up actions are accurately recorded in the CRM system.

Ensure all leads and opportunities are progressed and followed up within agreed timescales. Maintain accurate sales pipelines and opportunity records. Produce regular reports highlighting call activity, sales performance, customer reactivation, conversion rates and pipeline opportunities. Ensure customer information is recorded clearly and in a way that can be easily understood and utilised by colleagues. Handle in-bound calls, and support with email management.

Skills:

Proven experience in telesales, outbound sales, account management Confident and comfortable making a high volume of outbound telephone calls.

Experience of reactivating lapsed, dormant or inactive customer accounts is highly desirable. Strong fact-finding and questioning skills, with the ability to uncover customer needs and buying requirements. Excellent telephone manner and the ability to build rapport quickly. Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify and close opportunities. The ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships. Strong organisational and administrative skills.

High attention to detail and accurate CRM management. Good Administration skills.
