This role offers the opportunity to influence business change from concept through to implementation, driving operational efficiency, enabling innovation, and supporting the successful adoption of new processes and technologies across a nationally significant infrastructure programme.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Business Architecture, Business Analysis, Process Management, or IT-enabled Business Change
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership
  • Experience designing and improving business operating models, processes, and organisational capabilities
  • Ability to capture, analyse, challenge, and prioritise complex business requirements
  • Experience developing business cases, investment proposals, and benefits realisation plans
  • Knowledge of business process modelling and architecture frameworks/methodologies
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation, digital, or change programmes
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills within complex environments
  • Experience working within structured project delivery frameworks such as PRINCE2 or similar
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders
  • Experience evaluating solution options and supporting procurement activities (RFI/RFP/ITT)
  • Understanding of governance, risk management, and change control processes
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and workshop leadership skills
  • Experience working in highly regulated, asset‑intensive, or safety‑critical industries
Responsibilities
  • Lead engagement with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, requirements, risks, and dependencies for business change initiatives.
  • Capture, analyse, validate, and prioritise business requirements to ensure alignment with strategic programme objectives.
  • Develop and maintain business architecture artefacts including process models, operating models, and business capability maps.
  • Support the development of business cases and investment proposals, ensuring benefits are clearly defined and measurable.
  • Evaluate solution options in collaboration with internal teams and delivery partners to ensure alignment with business and user needs.
  • Maintain end‑to‑end ownership of business requirements, ensuring traceability through design, build, and implementation phases.
  • Support early‑stage project definition, including project mandates, option analysis, and feasibility assessments.
  • Work closely with project, delivery, architecture, and supplier teams to ensure integrated and consistent solution design.
  • Support procurement activities including RFI/ITT preparation, supplier engagement, and solution evaluation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and operational optimisation.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional alignment across business areas, ensuring consistency of processes and systems.
  • Act as a key interface between business stakeholders, suppliers, and technical delivery teams.
  • Produce clear documentation and support reporting requirements within architecture and governance structures.

We celebrate and support diversity and are committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants.
