Matchtech is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer on behalf of a long‑standing civil engineering contractor delivering major works on the Sizewell C nuclear new‑build project. The employer is an established Tier 1 contractor known for delivering complex infrastructure, heavy civils, and large‑scale utilities packages across the UK.

The successful engineer will join the team responsible for drainage works and Zone 3 Water Management activities, playing a key role in ensuring the safe, high‑quality delivery of a critical section of the project.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day‑to‑day site engineering activities for drainage and water management works.
Manage setting‑out, QA, and technical delivery in line with project specifications.
Coordinate with subcontractors, site teams, and the wider project engineering group.
Maintain accurate site records, ITP compliance, and engineering documentation.
Ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently within programme constraints.
Provide technical support to junior engineers and supervisors on site.

Requirements

Strong background in civil engineering, ideally within drainage, utilities, rc frames etc
Experience working on major infrastructure or large‑scale civils projects.
Proficient in setting‑out, QA systems, and reading technical drawings.
CSCS card required; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable.
Ability to work on a large, high‑security site (clearance process required).
A civl engineering degree or diploma would be ideal
