Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
Venesky Brown are looking for a Delivery Engineer to work with the Sizewell C project in Suffolk. This is a long term contract role based in SUffolk.
Job Purpose / Overview:
The Civil Works Programme (CWP) comprises a scope of work valued at circa £9bn and this has been divided into three delivery sub-programmes as follows
-
- Enabling & Earthworks
- Main Civils & Ancillary Works
- Marine & Tunnelling
Reporting to the Interface Project Manager, the Delivery Engineer will:
- Be an integral link within the CWP Interface Management Plan, monitoring and co-ordinating interfaces throughout, and supporting the CWP teams and SZC Project Management Office (PMO) to remain aligned.
- Produce and maintain appropriate, standardized documents and regular reporting to the senior management and other stakeholders reflecting key issues, resolutions, and performance to enable them to effectively understand risks and impacts related to Interfaces on the project
- Ensure a collaborative approach is maintained across the team to facilitate the planning and delivery of effective and efficient interface management, ensuring all issues are clearly understood by teams and addressed, and appropriate interventions developed and implemented.
- Supporting the Project Managers (PMs) with interface agreements that deliver ‘best for project’ outcomes whilst ensuring health & safety standards are maintained at the highest level.
Reporting to the Interface Project Manager, the Delivery Engineer has overall responsibility for implementing and maintaining the Interface Management Plan throughout the project life cycle by performing the following actions:
- Implementing project specific Interface Management processes.
- Capturing the necessary interface agreements between teams.
- Clearly defined responsibilities for Interface Management.
- Monitoring progress related to the Interface Management.
- Ensuring that the schedule requirements are maintained and identifying / initiating any change requests that may arise out of the Interface requirements.
- Ensuring that Interface issues are handled and closed.

- Impact of Non-delivery of Milestone
- An understanding of the challenges faced in interface management on a large infrastructure/engineering project (or similar) on-site experience, knowledge of construction activities, approaches, standards and expectations.
