Logistics Coordinator

Location: Debenham, Suffolk

Salary: From 29,500 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm (37.5 hours per week)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Working arrangement: Fully onsite

Join our Logistics Team

We are a leading UK manufacturer of medical examination couches, treatment tables, patient trolleys and ergonomic seating, supplying high-quality products to customers across the UK and internationally.

We are looking for a conscientious, organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our busy Logistics team at our headquarters in Debenham, Suffolk.

Reporting to the Logistics Team Leader, you will play an important role in coordinating export shipments and ensuring our customers receive a professional, efficient service. You will also provide support across the wider UK Logistics team when required, including providing cover during periods of annual leave.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous logistics experience who enjoys working in a busy environment, managing multiple priorities and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the shared Logistics inbox and respond to customer enquiries, while managing your own personal inbox.
  • Prepare packing lists and commercial invoices, ensuring documentation is issued promptly to customers and freight forwarders.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Obtain freight quotations for customer enquiries and live orders.
  • Arrange collections for export shipments.
  • Liaise with the Production team to provide customers with accurate and timely delivery updates.
  • Produce weekly customer reports where required.
  • Coordinate container collections when necessary.
  • Provide support to the wider Logistics team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department.
Essential skills, qualifications and experience
  • Proven experience in a similar logistics role.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language at Grade 4 (C) or above.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a busy environment.
