Leith Academy – a diverse and comprehensive secondary school in Edinburgh with a roll of around 1,079 pupils.
OverviewAn enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Mathematics is required to join our thriving team. The role involves planning and delivering lessons for S1‑3 (BGE) or S1‑6 and working collegially with department staff.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for the appropriate year groups.
- Incorporate digital learning using 1:1 iPads to enhance teaching both in school and at home.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the department’s educational objectives.
- Use pupil progress data to inform teaching and provide effective feedback.
- Qualified teacher with teaching experience in mathematics at the secondary level.
- Strong ability to integrate digital tools into lessons.
- Candidate must be able to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme or undergo an update check.
- Where a continuous period abroad of three months or more has occurred in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.

Salary: £35,022 – £52,740 per annum, depending on experience and seniority.
Hours:
