Construction Materials Testing Field and Laboratory Technician

Positions available for Construction Materials Testing field technicians to perform field and laboratory tests on soils and concrete. Pay will be commensurate with experience.

Position is full time with excellent benefits and paid vacation time.

Successful candidate will have the following qualities and experiences:

Eye for detail

Motivated self-starter

Observe construction activities and documentwith photographs and notes

Observe and classify soils

Perform hand auger borings

Sample, inspect and test soils, aggregates, and pavement(asphalt and concrete)

Ability to utilize field and laboratory testing equipment

Ability to read and understand constructiondrawings

Prepare daily field reports to include sketchesas needed

Communication skills for working with clients,owners, and peers

Ability to routinely lift 40-100 lbs

Ability to work outside and walk on unevenground

Have a State issued Driver's License

Must be able to get access to Federalinstallations (with our sponsorship)

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Ability to use Excel, Word and Adobe is a plus

2-5 years of experience as a Construction Materials Field Technician is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
