Job Description

Prompt Care is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive (AE) to join our team. The AE serves as a senior member of the Branch Sales Team and a key representative of the company. In this role, the AE supports the Director of Sales by mentoring the Branch Respiratory Sales team and fostering relationships with referral sources such as physicians, case managers, respiratory departments, dietitians, payors, and managed care organizations.

The AE is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, leveraging resources, and driving profitable revenue to meet budget goals. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in hospital‑based respiratory sales or related fields (e.g., Home Health, Infusion), with a proven track record of increasing referrals and mentoring sales teams to exceed performance targets. Job Type: Full‑time

Location:

Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, and surrounding areas within a 50‑mile or two‑hour radius of Leland, NC.

Requirements
  • Experience working with health systems selling respiratory services
  • Must have medical sales experience
  • A respiratory therapist with a current RCP state licensure is preferred
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management and multi‑tasking skills
  • Must be self‑motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal with referral source and physician expectations
  • Must have adequate PC skills to use e‑mail and update nursing notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner
  • Strong work ethic and desire to serve our referral sources and patients and to grow the business
  • Able to work longer than normal hours with little or no notice, as needed
Job Responsibilities
  • Supports the Director of Sales with the development and implementation of clinical programs with best practices in assigned market
  • Evaluates referral source satisfaction and develops branch opportunities to improve customer satisfaction
  • Initiates and develops good working relationships with referral sources and physicians to drive increased referrals
  • Maintains strong knowledge of Prompt Care’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensures that they are applied consistently
  • Maintains compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all times
  • Conducts activities with a mindset of delivering “white glove” service to the referral sources and patients/family members
  • Projects a positive attitude at all times with referral sources and patients/family members and gets involved in Prompt Care’s employee activities
  • Attends staff meetings, teleconferences and patient care conferences as needed
  • Understands and follows Prompt Care’s employee policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position also requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, 20 pounds or more.
