We Are Currently Recruiting For The Position Of

Multi‑Purpose Clerk – Cashier – 105 W. Hanford‑Armona Rd., Lemoore, CA 93245

The Multi‑Purpose Clerk may be assigned to one of several departments within the store – Center Store, Produce, Meat/Seafood, Bakery/Deli, or Janitorial. The Multi‑Purpose Clerk is responsible for promoting sales within the assigned department, answering customer questions, responding to customer requests for products, and accurately placing special orders. The Multi‑Purpose Clerk practices safe food handling procedures, maintains a clean work area, and keeps the environment orderly and free from safety hazards.

The Clerk receives, inspects, and logs products for shipment accuracy and quality, while stocking, rotating, and merchandising product to maintain freshness and department appeal.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Center Store/Front End – Operate the checkout according to company policy, memorize PLU codes, handle inventory activities, and stock product throughout the center store.
• Produce – Receive, inspect, and log produce, trim and wash, stock and rotate to maintain freshness, and maintain the floral area.
• Meat/Seafood – Receive, inspect, and log produce, weigh, wrap/package, and label products for display, provide customer service at the seafood counter, take special orders, and operate slicing equipment.
• Bakery/Deli – Receive, inspect, and log items, prepare, weigh, package, and label products, stock and rotate baked goods, take special orders, and operate ovens and mixers.
• Janitorial – Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store, sweep and mop floors, clean restrooms, break rooms, office areas, and front‑of‑store parking lot.

Duties Included In All Departments

• Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas.
• May operate forklift if authorized and certified.
• May operate baler if authorized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hiring pay range: $16.75 – $25.70

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Capability to be proactive, initiative, enthusiastic, and flexible on the job.

Education

High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or additional job experience.

Experience

Six months of related experience.

Other

Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours; must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical

Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis; requires lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
