Lakeview's Move-In Project Manager - Interior Design helps to facilitate resident moves on campus in cooperation with the residents and their families, Sales & Marketing, Facilities, Social Services, Accounting and other departments; and to coordinate move ins and internal transfers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Guides prospective residents and families through the move-in process, managing applications, paperwork, and ongoing communication.
  • Assists current and prospective residents with completing required forms, distributes to appropriate departments, and ensures accurate and up-to-date electronic pre-admission and admission files.
  • Prepares residents for move-in by setting up files, billing, and utilities (phone, cable, internet) and coordinating parking and storage assignments with Facilities.
  • Welcomes new residents by providing welcome materials, preparing move-in binders, gathering mentor information, and scheduling orientation with Community Life or the Independent Living Social Worker.
  • Monitors marketable independent living units (“Bestsellers List”) and provides timely updates on move-outs and available units to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Coordinates move-out processes by obtaining anticipated move-out information from the Independent Living Social Worker and working with Facilities to ensure units are cleared, cleaned, and ready for marketing.
  • Collaborates with the Independent Living Social Worker on internal transfers (“move-ups”), presenting unit options to residents and families, and coordinating all steps of the transfer following standard new move-in or transfer procedures.
  • Tracks remodel progress to ensure units are completed and ready for occupancy.
  • Notifies relevant departments of new and internal moves and maintains a current move schedule for Marketing and Facilities.
  • Conducts closing appointments with Administration, secures entry fee payments, and ensures safe delivery of payment with required paperwork.
  • Coordinates move-in, transfer, and renovation billing with appropriate departments.
  • Assists prospects with selecting fixtures, finishes, and upgrades in alignment with Lakeview standards.
  • Participates in Marketing and Facilities meetings as assigned.
  • Supports prospect engagement by inviting them to community events in collaboration with the Director of Community Life.
  • Maintains strong working relationships with internal departments and external contacts to support effective programs and meet resident and facility needs.
  • Ensures that Residents’ Rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to express grievances are followed
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field, preferred
  • Experience in management of remodeling projects and interior design, preferred
  • Must have a good working knowledge of database and Microsoft Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to be self-directed.
  • Demonstrates good communications skills, including but not limited to effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with a fluent understanding of English.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks appropriately, and exercise sound judgement where procedures cannot be standardized.
  • Ability to understand mathematical and financial calculations required in resident agreements.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as assigned.
  • Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
